The second bead is lighter, and mostly worn. I have come across some rare pearls of people over the past 34 years who have each in their own way made me feel carried. They have made me feel that hands can also be gentle and caring. People who take me by the hand and walk the road with me make me stronger to be able to carry myself as well. My own hands have become a caring force. I used to have to take care of myself and others in order to survive; now, as an adult, caring comes almost naturally and is a strength.
