Ignorance represents a period between my 6 and 8 years, a very black period, a spiral we couldn’t get out of. If there were any white points of light, they were covered with black when I got home…. everything was basically black. The brown question mark is the uncertainty, the not knowing. Not knowing why we received no care, no food, no warmth at home. Outside the home we were laughed at, we stank. I realized that this was not the case with other children. I didn’t know at all why with me it was. I was in a long black tunnel where there was no exit anywhere. The red spot refers to the violence and aggression at home. I was beaten until I bled. Blue tears…the sadness, I wept more than I laughed.
