The tear

Tear as a symbol of grief (thick and large). Grief was not always visible, hence the dark colors, including blue and the red representing anger. Grief was difficult to express in the past, but further in time it was. I didn’t know how to express my feelings without feeling guilty about feeling selfish for talking about myself. I saw a lot but couldn’t say much. I was too young to realize what was going on so I couldn’t stand up for my sister. (Zipper struck). My mother was full of self-pity so expressing my emotions had little space.
